Since writing this article Trump has made further assertions that the US will develop the Gaza strip into a real estate “paradise” for Israel by displacing the remaining Palestinians, providing them with a beautiful land or lands in which they can settle. Anyone wondering how this will workout for the Palestinians should have a chat with the Native Americans who were relegated to reservations, until of course those reservations were found to contain rich mineral deposits. It is incomprehensible to me that anyone could now possibly see Donald Trump as a force for good either for America or in the world at large after refusing to deny that he would not use military action and/or financial coercion against the sovereign nations of Canada, Panama and Denmark/Greenland. This is NOT rhetoric. These are dark, abhorrent, colonial tactics designed at the very least to create panic and crash economies and cause national security crises, with an endgame to bring these nations to their knees, grab their lands and plunder their resources. Such tactics have no place in a society which needs to evolve to a higher plane of consciousness. America can no longer consider itself a civilized society under this kind of ‘leadership.'
